Old "Swank" Cufflinks Bought for $.50 ~Sold $9.50

Two pairs of vintage gold tone cuff links. The tiger's eye pair has "Swank" written on the back. The blue and white pair are unsigned. Found both of these at a yardsale and paid a quarter for each set. Very beautiful and some of the higher end Swank cufflinks were fetching alot of money. A little history: Swank Inc a popular designer and manufacturer of men's cufflinks were incorporated on April 17, 1936. The Roaring 20's were probably the height of cuff-link invention. When Cufflinks peaked in the 1960's they were making 12 million a year. Every significant movement in art can be traced through the design of cufflinks in this past century. Cufflinks are making a strong comeback with gross sales having increased consistently over the last ten years.
